KAPL is a JV between Mauritius based Capivest and an Indian technocrat Mr. Prakash Kamat. The backend is supported by ERG Systems an Australian company for AFC projects in Mumbai. ERG is on e of the leading backend service providers for AFC applications throughout the world. The backend settlement software for multiple service providers is provided by them and has more than 50% of global share in AFC systems worldwide.

KAPL has taken sufficient steps to build a franchisee network of Service Delivery Points (SDP) for the purpose of loading the cards with e-purse value, season ticketing and re-filling. BEST and Railways have identified more than 400 SDP’s which will be active soon.

KAPL currently has manpower of more than 300 persons working in IT, Networking, Installations, Operations, R&D, Customer Service and Administration departments.
